Carlton adopts a dynamic modern approach to musculoskeletal challenges having conducted primary research on lower limb injuries and rehabilitation in the context of barefoot running. He chose the dream relocation to the Alps to further his profession as a member of La Clinique du Sport, Chamonix with a view to providing elite level musculoskeletal care alongside the highly skilled team in place.
Besides an intimate knowledge of lower limb injuries, as an Osteopath his professional skills offer treatment for many types of injuries and problems. A specific diagnosis and treatment plan is always established; he endeavours to truly understand you and the cause of your complaint, and ensures that you understand it too. This fundamentally holistic system along with Carlton’s own ethos means that treatment provided ensures a return to life as you know it, you at your best.
Carlton has spent some time working with professional sports, from international swimming teams to elite runners and Trans-global sailing competitions. Carlton relishes the challenges brought by complex clinical cases, such as those created from demands of an extreme lifestyle in Chamonix.
Carlton is fortunate to have had a broad history of competition experience and this supplements his academic knowledge to provide an thorough understanding of sport and biomechanics. Having proudly represented Great Britain in both alpine ski racing and triathlon he is now firmly settled as an elite trail runner for the Italian trail running ‘Team Vibram’.
Carlton is inherently sociable, always positive and continually determined to achieve the results you search in both health and performance. He is passionate for the outdoors and endurance sport and in his free time he can be found training in the mountains year round, on skis or in the trails.
